Frequently asked questions
The questions we're asked most
Everything people want to know before they start — how we work, what things cost, and what actually survives a Bangkok summer. If yours isn't here, just ask.
Getting started
What exactly does Whiterose Design do? +
We're a curated house of wallpaper, fabrics and bespoke murals in Bangkok. We help you choose the right thing for your room, produce it to your wall's exact dimensions, and install it with our own team. Take the whole service or just the part you need — plenty of clients simply choose a paper and hang it themselves.
See how the one-stop service works →Do you work in English? +
Yes — English and Thai, from the first message to the final inspection. No translator in the middle and nothing lost on the way. It's one of the main reasons families new to Bangkok find their way to us.
I'm not in Bangkok — or not in Thailand yet. Can we still work together? +
Very much so. We consult by video call, LINE or WhatsApp, work from your photos and measurements, and deliver nationwide. Beyond our installation radius we send a self-install kit with a step-by-step video and remote support, so the finish is the same wherever you are.
Can I see and feel the materials before I decide? +
Please do. Our studio in Lat Phrao holds the full ranges — wallpaper books, fabric hangers and mural materials you can hold up to the light. If you can't visit, samples can be arranged on request; just ask and we'll sort it out.

Wallpaper, mural or fabric — which do I actually need? +
Wallpaper is a repeating pattern, supplied by the roll and hung across one wall or a whole room. A mural is a single image printed to the exact size of one wall — a view, an artwork, a photograph. Fabric is for curtains, blinds and upholstery. Most rooms end up using two of the three, and we'll tell you which two.
Which houses do you carry? +
We curate Versace for Italian maximalism, the Morris & Co. archive for heritage botanicals, and Ashley Wilde for contemporary curtain and upholstery fabrics — alongside Kikki Belle, our own mural collections for children's rooms, and our premium range for whole-home schemes.
Browse the collections →Can you print my own photograph or artwork? +
Yes — that's the bespoke mural service. Send us the image and we'll print it to the exact size of your wall. As a rough guide, aim for 300 DPI at final printed size; our team checks every file before it goes to print and will tell you honestly if it won't hold up at wall scale.
About the bespoke mural service →Is everything at the couture end, or are there gentler options? +
Both, comfortably. Our premium range — quality imported wallpaper in textures, plains and decorative prints — starts from ฿400/sqm and does most of the work in a whole-home scheme. Bespoke murals start from ฿750/sqm. Versace, our signature house, is ฿1,200/sqm. Plenty of rooms use one signature wall with the premium range everywhere else, which is often the smartest way to spend.
Living with it in Bangkok
Does wallpaper survive Bangkok humidity? Will it go mouldy? +
Humidity on its own rarely ruins wallpaper — damp walls do. Mould grows where moisture is already coming through the wall, or where a room never gets any air. So we check the wall first, prep and seal it properly, and pick a material that suits the room. Done that way, wallpaper lives happily in Bangkok for years. Hung over a wall with a leak behind it, nothing will save it — and we'd rather tell you that before we quote.
Read the full guide to wallpaper and Bangkok humidity →I'm renting. Can I wallpaper a condo without losing my deposit? +
Usually yes — with the right material, and a word with your landlord first. Peel-and-stick murals lift away cleanly when you move out, provided the paint underneath is sound and fully cured (fresh paint is the usual culprit when something goes wrong). Get permission in writing, keep it removable, and your deposit should be no more at risk than the day you moved in.
Read the renter's guide →Wallpaper or paint? +
Paint is quicker, and easier to change your mind about. Wallpaper does something paint simply can't — pattern, texture, depth, and the sense that a room was designed rather than decorated. In a condo, one papered wall usually does more for a room than repainting all four.
Is it safe for a nursery or a child's room? +
Yes — and for a nursery we'd steer you to Fabric Backed. Its wallcovering is made by Len-Tex in the USA using their phthalate-free Clean Vinyl Technology: formulated without phthalates, heavy metals, formaldehyde or phenol, certified to SCS Indoor Advantage Gold and tested to CDPH Section 01350, the indoor-emissions standard written for schools and healthcare interiors. We print it with Canon UVgel 460 ink on a Canon Colorado M-series press — a print system Canon lists as GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions, alongside Indoor AgBB and the French A+ indoor air rating. The ink cures as it prints, so there's no solvent smell to air out and the room can go back into use straight away. If you'd rather avoid PVC altogether we have PVC-free materials too, and fire-retardant materials can be supplied on request — worth asking about for some condo buildings. Our Kikki Belle collections were designed for exactly these rooms.

How much does it cost? +
Wallpaper from our premium range starts from ฿400/sqm, bespoke murals from ฿750/sqm, and Versace, our signature house, is ฿1,200/sqm. Delivery and installation are quoted separately, so you can see exactly what you're paying for. Every quote is itemised — product, delivery, fitting — with no line you have to guess at.
Read the full price guide →How do we start? +
Send us a few photos of the room and rough measurements — LINE, WhatsApp or email, whichever suits you. We'll come back with one or two ideas, visualised on your own wall, and an itemised quote. The consultation is always complimentary.
Start your project →How do I pay? +
For studio projects, payment terms are set out with your quote before anything is ordered or made. Murals bought through our online shop are paid at checkout by card or PromptPay.
Delivery, installation and service
Do you install, or is it DIY? +
Both. Our own team installs across Bangkok and the nearby provinces — the same fitters every time, which is why the finish is consistent. Beyond that radius we send a self-install kit with a step-by-step video and remote support. Installation is always quoted separately and itemised.
About installation →What is the one-stop service? +
One studio carrying the whole project: consultation, design, products, production, delivery and installation, with a single point of contact throughout. No chasing suppliers, translators or contractors — and one team to answer for the result.
Explore the one-stop service →Do you deliver outside Bangkok? +
Yes, nationwide. Installation covers Bangkok and the nearby provinces; everywhere else we deliver the material with a self-install kit and guide you through it remotely.
Do you work with interior designers, hotels and restaurants? +
Yes — we work with designers, architects and hospitality projects, with trade terms and project handling to match. Tell us the scope and we'll set it up properly.
Hotels, restaurants and project enquiries →Looking after it
How do I look after it, and how long will it last? +
Dust with a dry cloth. Most of our materials take a gentle wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, though the metallic foils and matte finishes prefer a soft dry cloth alone. Keep any wall out of long hours of direct sun — every printed colour fades eventually, ours included, and strong Bangkok light is the quickest route there. Properly installed on a sound, dry wall, a good wallpaper will look right for years. We'll tell you what to expect from the particular material you choose.
Wallpaper in Bangkok
Who installs wallpaper in Bangkok and speaks English? +
We do. Whiterose Design fits wallpaper across Bangkok and the nearby provinces with our own fitters, not subcontractors. The quote, the measuring visit, the fitting itself and the final inspection with you are all handled in English or Thai, whichever you prefer, by the same team from the first sample to the finished wall.
How installation works →Where can I buy designer wallpaper in Bangkok? +
At our Lat Phrao 80 showroom in Wang Thonglang, by appointment Monday to Saturday. The books on the table are Versace Home, Morris & Co., AS Création and OHPOPSI, with prices from ฿400/sqm — and you get to see the papers at full scale, in daylight, before you choose.
Book a showroom visit →How much does wallpaper cost in Bangkok in 2026? +
Our premium range starts at ฿400/sqm, and Versace Home is ฿1,200/sqm. Fitting is quoted separately: ฿1,800 covers the first 30 m², then ฿250 for each further 5 m². Materials and labour are itemised on the same quote, so you can see exactly what each part costs before you commit.
What wallpaper installation costs in Bangkok →Can you print my own photo as wallpaper in Thailand? +
Yes. Send us the file and we print it to your wall's exact dimensions, from ฿750/sqm, on your choice of eight materials — and our team checks the resolution before anything goes on the press. We ship nationwide, and fit it ourselves in Bangkok and the nearby provinces.
