Ask what wallpaper installation costs in Bangkok and you'll usually be invited to send photos and wait. We'd rather just tell you.
Here is our 2026 wallpaper installation rate, in full, with the arithmetic done out loud. By the end of this you'll be able to price the fitting of your own wall before you speak to anyone — including us.
The 2026 rate
฿1,800 covers the first 30 m² — about six standard rolls. Beyond that, ฿250 for each further 5 m², which is one more standard roll.
That's the whole rate. It's published on our installation page too, and it's the number our own fitters work to across Bangkok and nearby provinces.
A few things it doesn't include, said plainly: the wallpaper itself, which is quoted per square metre of your actual wall; removing old wallpaper, wall repairs and double-height walls, which are priced further down; and printed murals, which are fitted at a different rate entirely — that figure lives on the murals page.
Why fitting is charged by the roll
Wallpaper arrives in whole rolls, and a fitter hangs whole rolls. Open the seventh roll to cover the last half-metre of a wall and the seventh roll is still bought, carried, cut and matched.
So the rate steps rather than slides. A 31 m² wall and a 35 m² wall both cost ฿2,050 to fit, because both need exactly one roll past the base. It's the same logic your builder uses for a bag of cement, and pretending otherwise would mean padding the base rate to cover the rounding — which is the thing we're trying not to do.
Worked example: one bedroom feature wall
The wall behind the bed, 3.5 m wide and 2.6 m to the ceiling. That's 9.1 m² — comfortably inside the base.
Fitting: ฿1,800.
Now the honest part. A 9 m² wall and a 29 m² wall cost the same to fit, because both sit under the base. Small walls carry a minimum, as any callout does: the team still travels, still preps, still spends an afternoon on your floor. If you've been wondering whether to do the bedhead wall or the bedhead wall and the wall opposite, the fitting cost may well be identical. That's worth knowing before you choose.
With paper from our premium range at ฿500/sqm, that wall lands at about ฿6,350 for the paper and the fitting together.
Worked example: a whole living room
A 5 m × 4 m living room, 2.6 m high. Walls, not floor — this is where most estimates go wrong.
- Perimeter: 5 + 4 + 5 + 4 = 18 m
- Wall area: 18 × 2.6 = 46.8 m²
- Deduct the door and the window, roughly 7 m²: about 40 m²
Fitting: ฿1,800 for the first 30 m², then two further rolls at ฿250. ฿2,300.
Papering all four walls of a room is one of the decisions that repays itself most obviously — the fitting on 40 m² is just over a quarter more than the fitting on a single 9 m² wall, for more than four times the wall.
Worked example: a whole condo
A two-bedroom condo scheme, around 100 m² of wall surface across the living area and both bedrooms, openings already deducted: ฿1,800 for the base, plus fourteen further rolls at ฿250. ฿5,300 to fit.
At that size the material is the number that matters, and the fitting is a rounding error against it. Which is rather the point of publishing the fitting rate — once you can see it, you can stop worrying about it and think about the wallpaper.
Where per-roll pricing of the material misleads
Fitting by the roll is honest. Pricing the material by the roll is where things get slippery, for three reasons.
- A roll is not a wall. A standard roll is 10.05 m × 52 cm — around five square metres of paper. What it covers depends entirely on your ceiling height. At 2.6 m you get three usable drops from a roll; at 3.4 m only two, with far more offcut. The same "฿X per roll" buys visibly different amounts of wall.
- Pattern repeat eats rolls. The repeat is the distance before a pattern starts again. A large, dramatic repeat means every drop is cut to align with the last, and the waste goes on the floor rather than on your wall. A per-roll quote rarely tells you how many rolls the repeat will actually demand.
- The number you want is the installed total. Product, delivery and fitting on separate lines. That's how every quote we write is set out — so you can compare us line by line with anyone else.

What moves the fitting figure
Five honest levers, so nothing in your quote is a surprise.
- Wall preparation. Surface checking is part of the service. Removing old wallpaper is not: it is charged at ฿60/m² on top of the rate. A wall that needs skimming, filling or patching is quoted from what we find on site.
- Old wallpaper, badly stuck. Paper hung over paper — still common in older condos — takes far longer to strip than a single layer on primed plaster.
- Ceiling height and access. Double-height walls carry a fixed ฿1,800 on top of the rate: anything above about 3 m, stairwells and ceilings need staging, and staging needs hours.
- Condo access. Most Bangkok buildings ask for a work permit form, a service-lift booking and set working hours, usually weekdays. It rarely changes the rate, but it changes the calendar — start the paperwork with your building's juristic office (the management committee) a week ahead.
- How ready the room is. An empty room is a fast room. Furniture that has to be moved and covered on the day is the quiet cost in every trade.
