OHPOPSI wallpaper in Thailand: bold British prints for Bangkok homes

Large pink and green watercolour floral wallpaper on a navy ground behind a white sofa and round wooden table

OHPOPSI wallpaper in Thailand: the British studio behind those hand-drawn ferns, painterly fruit and big, confident prints. Our five collections, how to choose the right scale, and how ordering and fitting work in Bangkok.

Some wallpaper wants to blend in. OHPOPSI wallpaper does not. If you've been searching for OHPOPSI wallpaper in Thailand, you've probably already fallen for a fern, a toucan or a two-tone stripe on your phone, and now you want to know whether you can actually hang it on a wall in Bangkok.

You can. We work with OHPOPSI and carry five of its collections as roll wallpaper, chosen with you in English or Thai and fitted by our own team in and around Bangkok. Here's what makes the studio's work so distinctive, how to pick the right book for your room, and what ordering looks like from here.

A British studio with a taste for colour

OHPOPSI is a British wallpaper studio, and its wallpaper is, in its own words, "designed & printed in the UK". Its stated aim is to bring bold colour into the home, "giving people the freedom of self-expression". Read that once and the whole catalogue makes sense.

What you notice first is the hand. These patterns look drawn, not generated: pen-and-ink stems, layered watercolour fronds, fruit and leaves in a soft, painterly line. The colour is confident without being shouty, and some of the prints are genuinely large in scale, which is exactly what makes a single wall feel like a decision rather than a decoration.

Everything we carry from OHPOPSI is roll wallpaper on a non-woven paper, in 50cm × 10m rolls (5 m² per roll), designed and made in the UK. Across the five books that's 50 designs and 242 colourways, so most designs come in several shades to suit your scheme.

Five collections, five moods

You can browse them all on our OHPOPSI page. Here's how we'd describe each one over coffee.

Jardin: the botanist's sketchbook

Jardin is six hand-drawn designs in 36 colourways. Summer Ferns is all layered watercolour fronds and movement, while Mimosa Trail is a calm pen-and-ink stripe. Arabella brings hand-drawn ferns at mid-scale, Blossom softens flower silhouettes into watercolour, and Kalina is fine, linear stems and seed heads, with Pomponette completing the set.

It's a book that works both ways: a statement wall if you go for Summer Ferns, or a quieter scheme if you lean towards Kalina. Jardin is ฿560/sqm.

Laid Bare: nature meets the stripe

Laid Bare runs to twelve designs and 63 colourways. Nature-drawn motifs sit against pared-back stripes and geometrics, mostly in natural tones with a flash of monochrome. Pomegranate Trail draws fruit and leaves in a soft, painterly hand; Bloc Stripe is a bold two-tone; Twisted Geo is a run of abstract links.

Look out for Orb, too: overlapping circles in a linen-textured print. It's printed on non-woven paper, not linen, but it gives the wall a soft, textured feel. Hummingbird, Jungle Cheetah, Palm Silhouette, Berry Dot, Riviera and the rest fill out a book that's priced at ฿440–560/sqm.

Riches of Nature: vintage charm, modern colour

Riches of Nature gathers seven designs in 51 colourways, drawing on vintage motifs, toiles and watercolour. Florence is a large-scale watercolour floral, the kind that reads beautifully behind a bed. Eve Toile tells the story of the seasons, from winter's bare branches to spring bloom.

Lush Leaves is untamed foliage, Emily Rose has vintage charm, and Dotty Leaf is small and timeless. Clementine brings fruit and flowers in a modern, multicoloured mix, and Lorena Vine rounds it off. This book is ฿560/sqm.

When I Grow Up: the children's room, sorted

When I Grow Up is thirteen hand-illustrated children's designs in 57 candy-bright colourways. Forest Floor has ladybirds and butterflies, Down on the Farm has tractors and hay bales, and Beneath the Waves is turtles and whales. Samba Safari brings a tiger, elephants and tropical leaves, and Kooka Koala and Honeywood Bears are as charming as they sound.

Be warned: your child will have opinions, and they will be strong. Our guide to kids' bedroom wallpaper in Bangkok covers how to choose a design for a child's room. When I Grow Up is ฿400/sqm.

Wild: the jungle, indoors

Wild is twelve designs and 35 colourways that bring the jungle inside. Palmera is painterly palm leaves; Toucan Toile and Hummingbird put birds into classic toile. Jungle Cheetah and Tropica soften big-cat and banana-leaf motifs into watercolour.

For something more graphic, Animal Ikat, Cheetah Spot and Zebra distil animal markings into large-scale abstraction. Wild is ฿440/sqm.

How to choose the right scale for your room

Scale is where most people hesitate, and it's simpler than it looks. A large-scale print like Florence, Cheetah Spot or Zebra wants room to breathe: one generous wall, seen from a distance, where the pattern can repeat a few times across the width. In a compact condo bedroom, that one wall behind the bed is usually all you need.

Smaller, finer patterns such as Kalina or Dotty Leaf are happier wrapping a whole room, or tucked into a hallway or a cloakroom where you see them up close. If you're unsure, start with the wall you look at most, not the one that's easiest to paper.

One trade term worth knowing: the repeat, which is the distance before a pattern starts again. Bigger repeats mean more matching allowance between drops, and we plan that into your quote so you aren't left a roll short halfway up the wall.

A word about Bangkok humidity

Bangkok's air is not shy, but it isn't the wallpaper-killer people fear. What matters most is the backing and how the wall is prepared. Non-woven backings are breathable and dimensionally stable, which is what you want on a Bangkok wall, and all five OHPOPSI books we carry are non-woven.

The rest is good preparation and an honest look at the wall before anything goes up. Our guide to wallpaper and Bangkok humidity has the full story.

What OHPOPSI costs in Thailand

OHPOPSI sits in our premium tier, from ฿400/sqm, with the five books ranging from ฿400 to ฿560 per square metre. We confirm availability with your quote, which itemises the paper and the fitting separately so you can see exactly where the money goes.

Standard wallpaper installation is ฿1,800 for the first 30 m² (about six standard rolls), then ฿250 for each further 5 m² (one standard roll). Extras are quoted on top: old wallpaper removal at ฿60/m², double-height walls at ฿1,800, and any wall repairs according to site conditions.

Ordering and fitting through the studio

If you're looking for OHPOPSI wallpaper in Bangkok, the easiest start is a consultation. It's always free, in English or Thai, in your home or by video, and we'll visualise your shortlist on a photo of your own wall at true scale. Visualisation work carries a small fee, creditable against your order, and an on-site measuring visit is ฿1,000, credited in full when you order.

Our own fitters, not subcontractors, work across Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan, matching patterns seam to seam. Beyond that area, we send a self-install kit with a how-to video and remote support. Installations by our own team come with our workmanship guarantee.
