DIY chains, online peel-and-stick, local importers, the big international showrooms and specialist studios. An honest 2026 guide to Bangkok's wallpaper shops, including the ones that aren't us, and five questions to ask before you buy.
Search for where to buy wallpaper in Bangkok and the list you'll most likely find was written in 2012, with 2012 prices to match. A lot has changed since then. Some names have changed, the prices certainly have, and a whole new aisle has opened up online. So here is an honest 2026 guide to the city's wallpaper shops, ours and other people's, and how to tell which one you actually need. Because the right shop depends far less on the pattern than on who will hang it, how long you'll live with it, and how much choice you want.
Five kinds of wallpaper shop, and who each one suits
Bangkok's wallpaper trade sorts itself quite neatly into five types. None of them is wrong. They're simply built for different jobs.
Home-improvement chains: the quick fix
HomePro and the other big DIY chains sell wallpaper off the shelf. HomePro's own wallpaper category runs to over a hundred lines, from self-adhesive stickers and foam panels to wallpaper from brands such as YORK and LX Hausys, and it runs its own installation service.
Best for: a weekend project, a rental you'll leave next year, or a pattern you can take home the same afternoon. Expect a practical edit rather than a deep one.
Online marketplaces: peel-and-stick by the roll
Type "wallpaper" into Shopee or Lazada and you'll meet thousands of self-adhesive PVC rolls, the peel-and-stick kind. They're quick, they're everywhere, and they have their place, usually a wardrobe door or a child's corner you'll redo in a year.
Do go in with open eyes. Bangkok humidity can make adhesive lift at the seams, and when a sticker comes off it can take paint with it, which matters if there's a deposit at stake. If you rent, our guide to wallpapering a rental condo in Bangkok covers the gentler options.
Local importers and boutiques: range and know-how
A second tier of local businesses imports wallpaper and hangs it for you. Design Option, a curtain and wallpaper boutique between Thonglor and Ekkamai, has been dressing homes, restaurants and hotels since 2002. It was on that 2012 list, and it's still at home in the same corner of town.
Best for: whole-home jobs where you want plenty to choose from and a team that does the lot.
MD Wallpaper: our sister company
Full disclosure first: MD Wallpaper is part of the same family business as Whiterose, so read this with that in mind. It's also the shop we point people to most often when Whiterose isn't the right fit. MD has specialised in wallpaper for more than 35 years, and it designs, supplies and installs right across Thailand. Its collections are priced for good value, it runs its own digital printing for custom designs, and it makes wallpaper to order for hotels, resorts, property developers and interior designers. You'll find it on the same street as our showroom, at 104 Lat Phrao 80 (Yaek 14), open Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Call +66 2 538 3844 or browse mdwallpaper.com.
Best for: whole homes and projects on a set budget, where the spend has to go a long way, and hotels or developers who need wallpaper made to order in volume.
The international showrooms: the big houses, under one roof
If you have a specific name in mind, this is where to look. Charoen Decor on Ekkamai 16 has been trading since 1983 and lists a long roll-call of international houses on its website, among them de Gournay, Sanderson, Osborne & Little, Pierre Frey and JAB. It's well worth a look if your designer has specified one of those. Sangetsu Goodrich, with its Bangkok gallery on Sukhumvit, covers wallcoverings, fabrics, carpet and flooring for homes as well as hotels, healthcare and retail, which makes it strong ground for commercial projects. And Jim Thompson, better known for silk, lists wallcoverings in its portfolio too, at its home-furnishings showroom on Surawong Road.
Best for: designers who've already named the product in their drawings, and anyone who already knows the house they want.
Specialist studios: a tight edit, chosen with you
The last kind is the smallest: studios that show a deliberately short list of houses, guide you through it from the first sample to the last seam, and can look further afield when a room needs it. This is where Whiterose sits, so we'll come back to it properly below.
Five questions to ask any wallpaper shop
Whichever door you walk through, these five questions will tell you more than the sales pitch.
What's the backing? For Bangkok, ask for non-woven wallpaper: a paper made with fibres that hold their size when damp, so the seams don't open up in the wet season. It also tends to strip off dry, in whole lengths, when you move. Our guide to wallpaper in Bangkok's humidity explains why this matters more here than in Europe.
Is the price per roll or per square metre? Rolls aren't all the same size. A standard European roll covers roughly five square metres, while some wide rolls cover twice that. Comparing per square metre is the only fair way.
Is fitting priced separately? A good quote shows materials and labour as two lines. If it's one round number, ask what's in it, and whether removing old paper or repairing the wall is extra.
Can I reorder the same batch? Wallpaper is printed in batches, and two batches of the same design can differ by a shade. Ask the shop to note the batch number and order a spare roll, so a damaged length can be replaced invisibly.
Can I see it in my own light? A pattern under showroom spotlights is not the same pattern facing west at four in the afternoon. Bangkok's afternoon sun does not negotiate. Ask to see a sample at home, or a visualisation on a photo of your own wall.
Where Whiterose fits (and where it doesn't)
We're a Bangkok studio with a showroom in Lat Phrao, and we curate four wallpaper houses: Holden, Versace, OHPOPSI and AS Création. That's more than a thousand designs, every one of them non-woven, chosen for how it behaves in Thai light and Thai humidity. Those four are what you'll see in our showroom, but they aren't the limit: through our sister company, MD Wallpaper, we can source other wallpaper ranges too, from luxury names to everyday ones. And we don't stop at the walls. We make curtains and soft furnishings as well, so one team can dress a single room or the whole home.
We look after commercial interiors too. For hotels, hospitals and clinics, schools and childcare centres, and offices, we supply fabric-backed commercial wallcoverings, the heavy-duty Type I and Type II kind made for corridors and busy public spaces. They're fire-tested to ASTM E84, low-VOC and scrubbable, and we provide a fire certificate for each product, so your specification paperwork is ready. See our trade and project work.
Our prices are published. The premium range starts from ฿400/sqm, and Versace, our signature tier, is from ฿1,200/sqm. Installation is quoted on its own line: ฿1,800 for the first 30 m², then ฿250 for each further 5 m². Our own fitters work across Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan, and anywhere else in Thailand we send a self-install kit with a step-by-step video. Everything happens in English or Thai, whichever you prefer. If you'd like the full arithmetic, what wallpaper really costs in Bangkok does the sums out loud.
A few honest pointers, then. If you're papering a whole home or a project on a set budget, or ordering in volume for a hotel or development, start at MD Wallpaper, our sister company. If your designer has named a particular house, such as de Gournay or Sanderson, it's worth asking us before you go elsewhere. And if it's one we can't get, Charoen Decor might be worth a look instead. If you're specifying contract-grade wallcovering for a hotel corridor or a hospital ward, talk to us first; Sangetsu Goodrich, which also covers carpet and flooring, is the other name to know. If you want to paper a wardrobe door this Saturday, HomePro will get you there faster than we will. We'd rather you had the right wall than our wall.
We also make custom printed wallpaper and wallpaper murals: a photograph you love, your own artwork or an original we design for you, printed to the exact size of your wall from ฿750/sqm and fitted by our own team. Start with custom printed wallpaper and wall murals and we'll take it from the first idea to the finished wall, or, if you already know the design you want, order online at our wallpaper mural shop.
Come and see the books
Bring a photo of the room, a cushion or a paint chip to our showroom at 1 Lat Phrao 80 Alley, Wang Thonglang, open Monday to Saturday by appointment. A design consultation is always free, in person or by video, and if we come out to measure, the ฿1,000 site-visit fee is credited back when you order. Call our Thai line on 093-839-5666, message us on WhatsApp at +66 81 172 7663, or simply tell us about your project. We'll pull out the books and put the kettle on.
Good to know
Common questions
Where can I buy wallpaper in Bangkok?
There are five main routes: home-improvement chains such as HomePro, online marketplaces for self-adhesive rolls, local importers and boutiques, international showrooms such as Charoen Decor and Sangetsu Goodrich, and specialist studios like Whiterose. The right one depends on who will hang it, how long you'll keep it and how much choice you want.
Where can I find de Gournay or Sanderson wallpaper in Bangkok?
Charoen Decor on Ekkamai 16 lists both houses on its website, alongside many other international names. Whiterose curates a different set of houses: Holden, Versace, OHPOPSI and AS Création.
How much does wallpaper cost in Bangkok?
It varies widely by house and material. At Whiterose, the premium range starts from ฿400 per square metre and Versace from ฿1,200 per square metre, with installation quoted separately at ฿1,800 for the first 30 square metres and ฿250 for each further 5.
Is peel-and-stick wallpaper a good idea in a Bangkok condo?
For a small, short-term project it can be. In Bangkok's humidity the adhesive can lift at the seams, and removal can take paint with it, so for a whole room or a rental with a deposit, a non-woven wallpaper that strips off dry is usually the safer choice.
Can I buy wallpaper and have it installed in English in Bangkok?
Yes. Whiterose works in English and Thai from the first consultation to installation, with its own fitters across Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan, and a self-install kit for the rest of Thailand.
